8th Graders: Tonight's HW is to finish reading Act 2 Scene 1 and to answer the questions on the back of the focus question WS you received today. 5th graders: Due to the craziness of this week and next (we won't be meeting at random times and some folks are going to 6 flags in addition to the trip that was today), I've decided to push the test back to next week. It will just be on vocab and not the story. Instead of the story test we will be doing a group poster project next week. This will make it easier since we won't be meeting regularly so no one will have to worry about catching up.
8th Graders: you are to finish reading Act 1 scene 1 lines 180-251. Then answer the following questions: What is Hermia's and Helena's conversation basically about? How does each girl feel? What does Helena decide to do in the end? Why do you think she does this?

Hey there, everyone!
This week is a wrap up week. This is the last week for students to submit any extra credit work that will go towards the 3rd Marking Period grade. One project will add up to 10 points onto a student's lowest test grade, and the other will bring up a missing HW assignment to a 75.
6th graders worked on Acrostic Poems today. If you didn't finish yours in class then it is HW. I will be checking them for completion tomorrow. There is a six letter minimum for the vertical word.
Tomorrow 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be getting grade folders with last week's test and the S.S.R. project rubrics. So ask to see them -- there were a lot of wonderful projects and I was really pleased!

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone enjoyed the short break!
This week I am giving students class time to work on their S.S.R. projects. Everyone will have tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday to work on their projects, catch up on any missed work, and work on any of the extra credit assignments (available to any students who have a B or below). So far, what projects I've seen look great! I cannot wait to see when they're all finished!
Projects are due Friday. Students are welcome to work on them at home, they just must remember to bring the projects back to school to work on in class. This way I can help if I notice any mistakes or confusion.

Thursday
It's almost Friday, folks!
Some changes for today and tomorrow:
For 6th and 7th, we worked on a reading check for our stories. If you did NOT finish the Reading Check worksheet before we left for the library, then that is homework for tonight.
For my vibrant, 5th graders -- 5L worked on some extra vocab review today instead of taking the test and going to the library. So the Vocab Test for 5L was postponed until tomorrow. Please take advantage of this time and study! We will definitly go to the library next Thursday (5k isn't able to go next Thursday because of a presentation, so it evens out).
Have a lovely evening!
