Happy Friday:

6K Science:

   Starting this week I will be sending home quizzes taken during the week in a Friday folder.  Please look over the quizzes, sign, and return them by the following Monday. Thank  you.

HW for Science: Bring home folder. Have quizzes and folder signed by a parent or guardian.

8 LA:

HW-

1. Progress Reports are due back by Tuesday, March 3.

2. Memorize column 1 and 2 of prepositions

Just a reminder eighth graders, there have been some changes to our last two independent book projects.

You must still read your independent book by the set date, however the projects will now be done in school.

Book three must be read by: March 13th 2009
Book four must be read by: May

Happy Monday!

6K Science:

Today in Science some groups finished up their seasons posters, while other groups read about new discoveries in the Current Science magazine.

8th grade LA:

We had very busy day.  We worked on lesson 14 vocabulary terms, notes in grammar, started our new story in Literature, and revisited figurative language.

Tonight's homework:

1. Vocabulary lesson 14 ex 14A *test Friday

2. Grammar wkst 130 and quiz tomorrow on verbs and adverbs

3. Literature wkst 10, Words to Own.  Make sure you have your textbook for this worksheet

6K Science:

Great job today. Everyone did very well on their Atmosphere test, I am so proud of you guys. Next is Unit III: The Earth and the Moon. The unit is very exciting, we begin our jounrey into space by discovering characterisitics of the Earth and its relation to the Moon.

No homework tonight.

8th grade LA:

Thank you for all you hard work today. After reading over all of your writing assignments, I am very impressed with your ideas about the quote of the day. Keep up the good work.
